ALL BOOK SALES ARE HELD AT THE

CHATHAM COMMUNITY LIBRARY IN PITTSBORO.

Don't miss it!  The Fall 2026 sale will be September 17-19, and the Spring 2027 sale will be April 8-10.

• Thursday: full price - $4 for hardbacks, $3 for softbacks, Children's books are $2 and $1.
• Friday: half-price day, including A/V.
• DVDs, CDs and vinyl records priced at $2 on Thursday and $1 on Friday.
• Saturday: $5 bag day (including DVDs, CDs and vinyl records) – bags compliments of Lowes Foods.
• Members of the Friends of the Chatham Community Library receive 10% discount on purchases of $5 or more on Thursday and Friday.

Books are not picked over – there is no presale.

The sale hours are Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. 

Prices are subject to change without notice.  Certain items may be priced differently.  Audio books are priced as DVD's and CD's.

** Special Service for our online book customers – a special selection of fiction and non-fiction books are available in our online bookstore.  If you order a book in our online bookstore, then you may pick it up at the sale.

SPECIAL NOTICE

To ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for everyone, the following guidelines will be in effect for all future sales.  These measures are based on safety concerns, customer feedback and a recommendation from the Chatham County Manager's Office:

1. Restricted Items: Large containers, including bins, tubs, crates, oversized boxes, and extra-large bags, will not be permitted in the sales room at any time during the three-day sale.  These containers may be stored in the Bag Park for later loading.
2. Thursday and Friday: Customers may bring paper or cloth grocery-sized bags.  We encourage you to bring your own appropriately sized bags.
3. Saturday (Bag Day): The Friends of the Library will provide standard paper grocery bags for all shoppers.  Please do not bring your own bags on this day.
4. Volunteers will be available on all days to assist buyers by bringing filled bags from the sales room to the Bag Park for storage and counting.
