Munsell was among the first artist-teachers to systematize colors by describing by hue, value, and chroma. This 4th edition (1916) of his analysis explains and defines these concepts and includes lesson plans for teaching it to young children. A classic, and our copy is in good condition but does contain some pencil notes.
